Chat with your meetings
Overview
Chat lets you ask questions about any recording and get answers drawn from the whole transcript instead of a keyword match. Ask things like "What were the action items?", "What did we decide about the budget?", or "What did Sarah commit to?" and get a streamed answer in seconds. Like everything in MeetingDebrief, the conversation runs locally and never leaves your computer.
Opening the chat panel
Open any meeting and click Chat with this meeting, or press Cmd+L (Ctrl+L on Windows). The chat panel opens alongside the transcript so you can read along while you ask questions.
Cited answers
Answers cite the moments they come from. Click a timestamp in a reply and MeetingDebrief jumps both the audio and the transcript to that exact point, so you can verify the source or hear it in context.
Long meetings
For long recordings, chat automatically pulls in the most relevant parts of the transcript to answer your question, so even hours-long meetings stay answerable without losing accuracy.
Privacy
Chat is powered by a local language model running on your device. Your questions, the transcript, and the answers all stay on your machine. No data is sent to any server.
