Debrief
Use cases / Consultants
Client calls,
kept confidential.
Consultants, freelancers, agencies, and advisors spend the day in calls that clients assume stay private. MeetingDebrief records them on your own machine, turns them into summaries you can act on, and lets you dictate the follow-up before the next call starts.
The problem
Client conversations are the job. Notes about them are overhead.
Taking notes during a call means half-listening to the client. Writing them up afterwards eats the gap between meetings, and details still slip.
Cloud notetakers solve the typing by sending the conversation to someone else's servers and adding a bot to the call. That is a hard thing to explain to a client who shared their numbers in confidence.
How it works for you
Record the call on your laptop
Hit record before the client joins. MeetingDebrief captures your microphone and the call audio from Zoom, Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or any other app. No bot joins the call and nobody gets an unexpected recording notice from a third party.
Get the debrief
The transcript and summary are produced on your machine. Use the Prospecting template for discovery calls or Action Items for delivery work, then ask the meeting what the client actually said about budget.
Dictate the follow-up
Open your email client, hold the shortcut, and say the follow-up while the call is still fresh. The text is typed into the reply. The summary is there to check names and dates against.
What you get
Stays on your laptop
Audio, transcripts, summaries, and dictations are processed and stored locally. We have no servers that receive them and no way to access them.
Works with any meeting app
System audio capture means the client can use whatever platform they prefer. It also works for in-person meetings with just the microphone.
Templates for client work
Prospecting summaries cover situation, pain points, budget, and next steps. Action Items lists owners and deadlines. Write your own template for your method.
Chat with a cited answer
Ask "What did they say about the timeline?" and get an answer with a timestamp. Click it to hear the exact moment.
Tags per client
Tag meetings with client names and search with filters like tag:client-acme. Folders and notes keep each engagement in one place.
One payment, no seats
Cloud notetakers bill per user per month. MeetingDebrief is a one-time purchase, which is easier to justify than another recurring line on your invoice.
The call, summarized before your next one.
Decisions, next steps, and open questions come out as a structured summary. Edit any line in place; your edits are what search and the Markdown export see.
Find what the client said in March.
Search every transcript, summary, note, and dictation at once. Combine tag filters with a phrase to search one client only.
